1) Are you sore the morning after?

Nothing is more satisfying than finishing a big legs session and waking up the next morning a little worse for wear. Although you shouldn’t feel serious burn every day of the week (give yourself a day to recover between bigger weights sessions), a bit of muscle soreness is a definite sign you’re doing it right.

2) Are you chatting easily while you workout?

Heading out for a Saturday morning run with your bestie is a great way to motivate yourself and catch up, however if you’re holding a conversation and not getting a little out of breath then you might want to up the ante. Consider throwing some high-intensity intervals into your weekend jog to build cardiovascular fitness and get the blood pumping.

3) Are you in a workout rut?

You know the drill… you grab your bag and your towel, pull on your trainers and proceed to go through the motions. Five minute warm up, throw a few weights around and then hit the cross-trainer to finish things off. If this sounds like you, it might be time to shake things up.
